The AAcode Research Cluster begins on 1st of June.
AAcode is focussed on developing experimental digital design tools as a means of collaboration with non-architectural software developers and design firms. The goal of the cluster is to take advantage of the unique setting within the AA to research and develop new software tools for parametric design by turning to sources outside of architecture. The 1st phase of this work will develop experimental tools with Massive / The Mill and with Pixelux. During Autumn term development will be focused on a school-wide workshop series, as well as an addition to the AA website which will serve as a new forum for showcasing the development of these tools across all of the units / graduate programs and developing a general knowledge base.
